Just Fruits...

Attempted to make a cake out of fruits for my dad's birthday....actually, there's no cake...just fruits!

But the wordings in m&m's chocolate failed miserably. Melted blue liquid...*sigh* Shall not use coloured sugar coated chocolates again....

Yummy Cupcakes

I have no baking utensils. BUT, i made do with whatever I have...NO, I did not bake the cupcakes...I have no time for that. Bought the cupcakes at only RM2 for 10 pcs (good deal eh...they also taste GREAT!) I made the icing tho....

Buttercream icing
150gms of margarine (did not use butter because my sis is allergic to milk)
150gms of sugar (used the coarse type...the only type I have at home)
*did not exactly measure these but estimated*
2 pcs of lime
A tiny drop of red colouring
Love letters (from our bunch of snacks)

Creamed the margarine until fluffy white using only a spoon and a metal bowl. Then added in sugar and stir till sugar is not so coarse anymore....my hand aches from the continuous half hour stirring....*sweats* But, the cream still tasted crunchy....Then stirred in the lime juice for some flavouring...was supposed to be for our maggi goreng...*hish*

And finally piped out using plastic and magazine paper....tore out from hon's iproperty.com...he hasn't read it yet...hehe...besides, it's outdated...

Piping failed miserably...ended up using spoon to smooth over the cupcakes instead : )

Langkawi's Wildlife Park...

Can't exactly remember the name of the place but I believe it's the only animal park they have there...was previously a bird park converted into a wildlife park.....but, I guess they still have more birds compared to any other animals...

Entrance fee: RM12/adult I think
Feedings: RM2/packet of about 10ogms with choices of nuts, carrots, cabbage, seeds...etc.
Ratings: 8/10

This is Wendy...as claimed by it's owner...doesn't she look like Rolls-Royce, our neighbour's....

Check out his little fingers....so delicate....

We were allowed to play freely with the animals, some of them in cages of course...enjoyed ourselves very much after a full day drive of beaches and paddy fields...haha...we didn't even get to the waterfall bit...climbed all the way up for Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells) and only realized that there isn't any at all! The waterfall was less than half the distance up but we were already too exhauted from the SUPER steep 15 minutes climb....

Cheongsam in Turquoise

Never knew what a Qipau was until recently (the last few months to be exact)...now I do...Qipau = Cheongsam. This particular one was a gift from my cousin two years ago but just didn't have the time to send it for alterations. I finally did and decided to use it for our wedding day...

Golden laces....

I love shoes, just wish I could have the amount of shoes like Jessica in the Gem of Life. Actually wanted to post this pair here quite some time ago but just didn't have the time to get a good, clear picture of it. Specifically bought this for the wedding but ended up wearing another pair instead.

Still, did not regret getting it....it's really comfortable, though the platform's a bit too high for me.

Jingle to A New Year...

Christmas signifies the end of the year and lots of holidays, of course....we went up Genting for a day trip a week before the x'mas break....thought of going up during the long weekend but knew that it will be too packed...even on a normal weekend, the place is already full of people (must be the school holidays -.-)

The weather was good, cooling with lots of mists....there was nothing much to do except for visiting the casino and the theme park. Food is definitely pricier than normal, double i would say...

This artist actually caught my attention as he was sketching a lilttle boy's eyes....it looked so real, dark, dazzling eyes, sharper than the actual eyes...hehe....

Was wondering how long the boys had to sit there waiting for their potrait....but, he was so quick that I think they only had to be there for a good 10 minutes....anyway, we did not wait for him to finish...there were other things to see....

This x'mas, I got a bear from an exchange gift steamboat session....adding Chris (yes, that's his name, short for Christmas) to my babies collection. Our budget was supposed to be RM15 but I think this buyer's got a bit more generosity....
